Teachers TV is a service that delivers programming and other types of educational content, with the aim of helping to raise educational standards in Primary and Secondary schools. Programmes are available via digital television platforms, via streams and downloads from the website, and on dvd. As well as the full range of programming, the website also offers a TV Guide, short clips for use in training and other downloadable information. The service is funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) but is editorially independent from them and is overseen by a Board of Governors who make sure that the channel is meeting required standards and fulfilling its remit. The research findings will help direct the future of the channel and ensure that the programming is relevant and applicable to the audience.
